I have a Smith & Wesson Model 60 1.875 inches .357. It’s a great mouse gun; the critters are unlikely to run far after a hit to the body. I’m afraid I can no longer read the label on my dad’s old pocket holster, so I’m not much help.

I would advise that Grandma practice drawing from any holster. I practice several times a day. Whenever I close my bathroom door, I draw and then re-holster (a much slower process) whatever mouse gun I may be carrying before taking care of business. I have no fondness for vermin that spread disease and other issues, and I want to make sure I can deal with pests before they spread rabies or other unwanted conditions.

Your “wordsmithing” grade for today is 100%.

Thanks for the careful and thoughtful explanation of things that granny should consider.

.357 “mouse gun”? 😂. No, I don’t image the remaining particles would do much traveling. After initial impact, that is.
