That cop is going to prison. If he beats the state charges, hell be convicted on some federal charge (probably a civil rights violation).
The Feds werent particularly interested in charging George Zimmerman after his acquittal. But given the current climate, they will be very interested in charging Officer Chauvin.
The same sort of thing happened in the Rodney King case.

This is all politics based law. A certain demographic is up in arms because of various events, (Which have been deliberately distorted by people trying to get them up in arms) and the authorities want to pacify them and neither the authorities or the demographic really cares about actual justice or objectivity.
And yes, the Feds will pull their usual "double jeopardy" crap on these guys when they beat the state charges.

The PTB may see that as the easiest way to avoid the crapshoot of a jury’s decision, and just Pilate this whole thing.
