I just heard today that the craven cop in the Stoneman Douglas shooting just won in court and got his job back (with back pay, mind you) b/c the police did not follow proper procedure in terminating him.
In the case of the cops in the Floyd case I predict something similar will happen. And if it is the merits of the case, they might all say they were following their understanding of SOP.
This will PROBABLY go the cops’ way.
As for criminal case, it is really weak as the cop was restraining Floyd who has just fought off 4 cops and put himself in a position where that was the only way to safely hold him.
With the worldwide coverage of the Saint George episode these four cops will need to stay hidden in a bunker for the rest of their lives.
No way can they get a fair trial anywhere.
No way they will ever work in law enforcement again unless they have some kind of death wish.
