If they are attempting a coup...
1) will the military stand down and allow it?
2) will the public accept it as legitimate?
I hope the answer to #1 is no ... I know the answer to #2 is no.

Well, the D/S coup HAS BEEN underway for 3 years. (House-DOJ-FBI-CIA primarily.) The question is whether other agencies are starting or increasing their participation and whether outside actors are becoming involved. BLM and Antifa are both part of the coup.
So, this is an extension or strengthening of what is already taking place. (Note that this is Barrack Obama’s top down bottom up strategy, with elements of both Deepstaters and Community/rioters involved.)
I am almost 35 years out of the military. I do not think that the generals from that time would allow a coup. I am not certain what the highest levels of the Pentagon and field officers would do. Obama put political people in the Pentagon and they might allow it. (I think that POTUS could count on the Marines, and that counts for a lot.)
I think that large cities would applaud it, but I think that the rest of the public would not. So, civil war. (Where are you going to get your food from now New York??)
