Portland Trail Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum was the latest professional athlete to rip New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees for national anthem comments the quarterback made on Wednesday in the wake of the death of George Floyd.
But it came with a twist: Praise for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“We need more @AaronRodgers12 and less @drewbrees,” the 28-year-old McCollum tweeted. “Ignorance is not an excuse. You have to hand off the ball and throw to those same teammates you refuse to stand up for.”

Nor have I but these voices are coming from all angles. I read a black actress yesterday — I have never heard of her — saying she is tired of sharing the screen with whites. Her exact quote ““Tired of us also being used as sidekick non dimensional characters to our white leads.”
She sees blacks portrayed on TV shows as thugs but never in high-profiled positive roles. Really? She also said she was tired of seeing blacks as “token” in ads but not in any of the shows in which those those ads are aired. They have jobs and still complain about whites. Well, you know what, during reruns of shows of yore like Bonanza, Green Acres and Gunsmoke, maybe what should be shown are ads featuring white people.
Aaron Rodgers? The man who publicly hates his family, claims Ellen is his favorite celebrity, and has a closet full of gay rumors?
Ha! Drew Brees has not only impeccable character, he is the all time passing eader and led the “Aints” to the NFL title, something most predicted would be impossible.
We don’t need any of these pampered overpriced jocks. My new sport is Stayin Alive. Meaning to much of this crap is getting to close. Zero time for TV sports even if they comeback. We are at war it’s time to be the best u can be. Because anything can happen.
When Larry Bird scored 60 points in New Orleans against the Atlanta Hawks in the mid 1980s, the reaction of the Hawks’ bench players was something almost unparalleled. My memory is that all the players on Atlanta’s bench were black. The clips have been re-aired but the reactions were of pure admiration and more so disbelief. It was one of those moments that sports brought people together. The skill level on display by Bird was something phenomenal. But for opponents to react that way was truly unique if not bizarre. In a good way. We have changed as a society. The younger sect wants domination. We all know feminists do not want equality they want to dominate. These black radicals are the same. Equality? Give me $30,000.00 by the age of 30. No, they want subjection.
