Links to previous Bicycle Threads. You should include the

Reports are that ANTIFA has been using scouts on bicycles to scope out locations for looting and violence.

When you go for a ride I’d suggest that you not use your cell phone or wear anything black. You don’t want to get mistaken for one of those punks.

What I'm seeing right now is a lack of inventory or the ability to order a new bike from the manufacturers due to the component shortages. I'm not a serious biker, but I do spend for a quality flatbar bike for my exercise. My previous two flatbar bikes were built on 2006 Klein Reve X framesets. Built weight for a 30-speed setup was right at 20 lbs, quite a bit less than the typical hybrid or fitness bike.

Been looking at Trek's FX Sport 6, which is a carbon framed and forked bike weighting 20.5 lbs (medium frame). Retail cost is $2,100, so not a trivial purchase. I can't find this bike or a lower-end version with similar geometry to demo, let along be able to order it from Trek.

So far all races in Texas are postponed.

Without a doubt, the racing calendar will be crowded. Traditionally, the Giro d'Italia is the first of the three great European three-week races, followed by the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana (all three names translated from Italian, French, and Spanish to the "Tour of" followed by the host country Italy, France, or Spain).

But this year, the shuffled calendar will result in the Tour de France happening first, followed by the Giro d'Italia, and then the Vuelta a Espana. In fact, the final two races will overlap: a slightly shortened version of the Spanish race will run on Oct. 20-Nov. 8, starting five days before the Giro d'Italia concludes. The Italian race will also overlap with the 118th edition of the one-day Paris-Roubaix race, one of Europe's oldest races, which was moved from April 12 to Oct. 25, the final day of the Giro d'Italia.

"Everyone's hope is that this year will be an anomaly that forced everyone to adjust but didn't force any major race to cancel," Bellino said. "We all want to go back to normal in 2021." Enditem

I love to bicycle. I have three bikes: a moderately good road bike, a very nice mt. bike, and a beat up old Firmstrong beach cruiser. I ride the old beach cruiser 99% of the time and have taken it on some longish- 40 mi + day rides. I really like that old bike with its single speed and coaster brake.

U.S. Police Batter Black Lives Matter Protesters With Bicycles

The supposedly “humble” bicycle—usually a symbol of non-motorized meekness—is being used by
America’s militarized law enforcement as a mix between a riot shield and a baton.

We went to a large bicycle shop and luckily our daughter fell in love with one of the children's girls bikes they had. There were two left of this model (250 euros)

Needs to be built, so we can pick it up tomorrow at 2pm.

Big “throw down” this evening between local friends in the “A-Group” of the Wednesday Night Dinner Ride. Cushing, Oklahoma to Pawnee, Oklahoma. 30-miles of rolling terrain to Click’s Steakhouse! Join in if you want! (I’ll be on my 1991-92 Eddy Merckx MXLeader in Jan Ulrich’s Team Telekom pinkish livery.)
