I listen to many talks on YouTube, some of the most interesting ones have really horrible audio, so bad, I end up turning it off. (I'm listening to a YouTube of an audio of Carroll Quigley of "Tragedy & Hope").
This really terrific equalizer, with more whistles & bells than you could ever use (I use it for recording music from keyboard direct and with mikes), is titled:
PEACE - Peter's Equalizer APO Configuration Extension
It interfaces well with FREE "Audacity" recording software. I can now listen to virtually any recording, even the ones that sound like a tin can & string "phone" in a toilet.
I thought Audacity already had an equalizer function.
You need a cheap, outboard “sound card” on a dongle, then, if you’re doing something specialized like using an electronic “piano” keyboard that can come in extremely distorted, this Peace “API” really insures that you’ll get good sound, like this, actual performance.

Dont forget the headphone eq database.
someone measured many headphones and produced custom eq curves to flatten the freq response for each model...
