Karl Rove finding ways to get back in the news after the corona virus designates him as non-essential for the past 3 months.

I’d like to tell him what to do with his white board.
He is insufferable.

It's certainly something to watch, but I think you might be reading too much into one race. Steve King was a good guy but did have habit of shooting himself in the foot, and just managed to scrape by last election, so his defeat wasn't much of shock (and is certainly better in the primary than the general election). As for Rove and the Bush crew, how many candidates has Trump's endorsement saved this cycle? Probably at least 50, so 1 for the Bushies isn't exactly a massive victory.

Old money combined with old power combined with years of organzing, educating, recruiting, grooming. "Everybody wants to riule the world" sort of thing. This game is hundreds of years old.
"They" run the system for their own benefit, and manipulate the public. Not trivial, but not new science.

Forget the Bush Republicans. They’re basically like dodos - they’re extinct, but they don’t know it yet. Anyone connected with the Bush family is dead in the water among GOP voters. I expect George P Bush, Jeb’s son, will get a primary challenge in 2023 for his Land Commissioner post, and be defeated. He can forget about any other statewide offices - the Bush name is mud in Texas. His cousin, Pierce Bush, came in 3rd, with 15%, in a Congressional primary this year.

As far as I know, Stephen King was a reliable conservative vote. But why would a politician say the things he said, knowing full well that it would give his opponents a weapon to use against him.
I have noticed that politicians like to make comments about anything and everything and that has nothing to do with their voting, which is what their main job is.
Reminds me of some football and basketball coaches that never shut up.

That wont stop Rove doing a victory lap on Fox News and claiming to be ‘rehabilitated’
These people never go away and they’re drunk on power. Last night was music to Rove’s ears!
We are in big trouble IMO.

There have been reports of Rove making recent WH visits and advising Trump on reelection.
What could possibly go wrong?

Stephen King was going to lose his seat to a democrat in the fall.
To: RandFan
From what I hear, he was going to lose in November had he won the primary so this is better. Plus isnt 9 terms way more than enough. New blood is needed and from little Ive read, hes pro trump.

Last paragraph of article:
Polls showed a tight race between King and Feenstra in the lead-up to the primary Tuesday. An internal survey for Feenstras campaign showed the state senator trailing King by only 3 points within the polls margin of error. Another survey from the left-leaning firm Public Policy Polling released earlier this month showed Feenstra leading King by 4 points.
Considering Feenstra won by 10%, this just goes to prove polls don't mean jack.

For better or worse, Steve King had become a very unstable presence in the House for the GOP. He damn near lost his seat in 2018 in a district that he should have won by a wide margin.
Let's look at the upside here. King had been there since 2002. Eighteen years is probably 12 years too long for anyone to serve in Congress.

Karl rove is back as a power broker same as I am Mother Theresa ( who is dead by the way).
Karl Rove is irrelevant.
To: RandFan
King burnt his bridges with his actions, stances. Expected him to be defeated by a decent challenger.

As far as I know, Stephen King was a reliable conservative vote. That's true. Interestingly, even most RINOs are "reliable conservative votes" when you look closely at their records.

I’m with you. “Porky” Rove would love to think that he has influence, but his public appearances are all about “look at me” and “don’t forget, I’m important.” From what I’ve seen (although I haven’t watched it in quite a while), his only venue is the Hannity show, along with Linda BS Graham.
