These things were developed by the US and Israel military specifically for non lethal crowd control. I can not believe the NYPD does not have something like this, especially after 911.
Where are the water canons?
This is not your grandfather’s riot police. This is the kinder, gentler, PC riot police. I am not saying to mow them down with .50 caliber heavy machine guns, but engaging in violent protest and looting should result in some physicl pain at the very least.
You want a peaceful protest? Get a permit and stick to the areas you say you are going to be in. Everybody else will be assumed to be involved in looting.

Uhm, no, absolutely NOT. Most protests now have at least one or two people in their midst, who quite deliberately carry bags of marbles, specifically to deal with horseback law enforcement. They toss down the marbles, and the horses generally break legs. When I was in undergrad, that was one of the things that was listed right in the Student Activist handbooks: “Always carry a bag of marbles to neutralize mounted patrols.”
what the shit? I’ve never heard of that. That’s awful. Most I’ve seen so far here has been idiots throwing rocks and bottles filled with God only knows what at cops, then whining on social media about how ‘we dinnt du nuffin and the cops shot tear gas at us!’
