I went to forward observer school at the Leon Creek Naval Gunfire Range (also where I got my article 15 for beating a comm guy's ass over a girl. He shouldn't have been talking to her that way). One of the most fun things ever is dropping a Willie Pete round on target with a mortar and watching the boat light it up from 5 miles out.
