A spouse can’t be FORCED to testify against their spouse but it’s done every day. How do you think you get orders of protection or a divorce etc etc

The spousal privilege does not apply in an action between spouses; otherwise, Minnesota prohibits testimony concerning spousal communications, even after divorce, without the consent of the defending spouse.

You are correct. Those are specific exemptions to spousal immunity. There are several more. It’s not absolute.
