Years of fake news has created a large body of people willing to exploit incidents of police malfeasance. The media (and Democratic politicians) have constantly hammered on the idea that our society is racist from top to bottom, that there is no justice, that all whites are irredeemably racist from cradle to grave, and that there is a nationwide police war on black people, especially young black males.
None of these claims are true, yet they are repeated constantly.
I have a study bookmarked from 2019 which showed that white police officers were NOT disproportionally prone to shoot black suspects. Among the general population, blacks kill whites more than twice as often (even in raw numbers) as whites kill blacks.
In 2018, there were 514 black-on-white murders compared to 234 white-on-black murders. Black-on-white murders comprised 69% of interracial murders between blacks and whites. If you count only blacks and whites, whites are 82% of the population, blacks 18%. Black-on-white murders are therefore about 380% higher than what you would expect based on their percentage of the population relative to whites.
White-on-black murders, and especially when they involve police malfeasance, get enormous publicity, distorting the public's image of the reality. This distorted image fuels the rioting and looting that occurs when these highly-publicized events occur.

And the black on Black murder rate is tiptoed around and ignored while Oprah's lez friend on CBS This Morning claims black men are "open season" for white Elmer Fudds with badges. Like she cares about any men at all.
The racial division lie is hammered in nearly every level of education now and almost all colleges have a useless section of bureaucracy devoted solely to diversity and dismantling the unity we've worked so hard to achieve.
