poppies and strawberries are blooming, asparagus has been hit hard by asparagus beetles, harvested a couple crops of rhubarb. Peonies are getting ready to bloom. My lone lilac I planted last year has already bloomed.
Re-black plastic mulched my smaller veg garden out back. critters already dug out an ancho pepper plant!
Growing herbs, morning glories, brandywine tomatoes, charleston grey watermelon, cukes, okra.

[[asparagus has been hit hard by asparagus beetles,]]
Ours are doing fine- never heard of those beetles- that’s 2 things i hadn’t heard of i n this thread already- but i don’t tend to the asparagus, so not sure if we’ve had them or not- been enjoying the asparagus already- we like it raw- just pluck and eat- usually- probably been eating beetles too and never knew it lol-
You did good...I knew right away your region, helps when comparing plant growth. Prevents envy depression : > )
my husband has declared war on moles and squirrels...I’ll leave it at that....
I’ve always loved Brandywine Tomatoes. My last farm was named, ‘Brandywine Farm.’
Our current farm is named ‘Abandon All Hope Farm,’ LOL!
