No reason to go to Springfield? LOL.....*The Armpit of Western Mass?

Growing up in Connecticut, we only went to Massachusetts for Riverside Park in Agawam, about 5 miles north of the border. We had contempt for the Kennedy liberals in those days, as Connecticut was a northeast Republican state in those days, and the Democrats tended to be Irish and Italian ethnics who didn't hate their country.

Springfield also has the Basketball Hall of Fame, of course. I also had my Amtrak from Chicago rerouted through Springfield. For best burger, have you tried any of the steamed cheeseburgers in Connecticut? Or Pralines in Meriden for ice cream? Or a grilled foot long on a toasted square (clam rol) bun? CT is gone, but still some good eating there.

The Student Prince Cafe is a great German restaurant in Springfield proper; kinda dark and moody for atmosphere. Showing its age; food is great.

Went to The Big E, every 4 years; now, it’s so crowded, it kinda lost its *fun.*

We’ve fled CT for good, for northern Vermont. Only thing we miss about it, is the seafood, caught fresh from LIS.

You must mean Ted’s Restaurant on Broad St. for steamed burgers. They opened a small place in Cromwell; but its not the same as far as atmosphere, as the original in Meriden.

Best ice cream in CT, is at the UCONN dairy bar. Really.

Edible pizza does NOT exist in Vermont. Heh.
