Multiple fights broke out across Daytona Beach during Memorial Day weekend resulting in a shooting incident that injured six people, but no arrests have been made. The Daytona Police Department and the Volusia County Sheriff Office led a joint effort to deescalate many of the different incidents, but said during Sunday press conference that there were 'no major fights.' But several videos shared across social media show the opposite, with large crowds of both men and women involved in tussles.

And the jelly fish. Ya gotta avoid SC Atlantic jelly fish swarms ;-)
But yss. We are heading there first week of June.
This is why I enjoy living in flyover country.
Its sad when the pics shown in the paper 100% support the stereotypes and the assumptions about the “partyers.”
I kinda thought it would be ‘the Florida Man’ acting out, but no ...
I didn’t know the Others were so prevalent in Daytona beach?
Geez these are the people we’re told are the salt of the earth and we’re to turn the country over to them, and they routinely act like thugs because they’ve been raised into an ignorant thug culture.
I hate leftists who have caused all of this.
I’m guessing the ferals had trouble social distancing.
Whole lotta disrespectin’ going on...
This doesnt happen in the OBX either. Im in Kitty Hawk, NC this very minute.
Well,I’m glad to hear that things are getting back to normal.
That is why my favorite beach destination is Hilton Head Island. The only thing feral there are the gators.”
For now... ..Myrtle Beach used to be nice too.
Myrtle Beach hasnt been nice since the 80s and its always had its shady side, you just had to go looking for it back in the day. Now it can find you.
I was on Ocracoke last week. Nasty weather and little seafood.
The thin veneer of civilization. It would only take a few weeks for these “youths” to go without food before they became violent, savage, raging, blood lustful cannibals.
As Mr. Spock would say, they are the very essence of the democrat party.
Things are getting back to normal.
May and October are actually the nicest times to be out there, October in particular since the ocean temps are still warm. That is, if there arent any big storms around. Roll of the dice on that. I suggest running up to Duck or Corolla north of there, very nice. Check to see whats open though, many restaurants and attractions may not have opened for the season yet because of all the Covid crap, Dare County was closed to nonresidents for the duration. If youre there, theyve reopened though, I suppose.
Ocracoke has been hit hard with a sort of double whammy, they basically got hit with a min-tsunami with the last storm, about seven feet of flooding washed in from the sound side, wind driven. Then came the Covid crap. I love the place but Im not surprised. Theyre still struggling to get back on their feet. Good on you for trying to give them a little support. Too bad it was a disappointing trip for you, though.
