The sports void is real. Those figuring out how to fill it are reaping the rewards. After ESPN announced record viewership numbers for its 10-part Michael Jordan series The Last Dance, Turner Sports recorded similar ratings for a golf exhibition. The network group announced on Monday that Sundays airing of The Match drew an average of 5.8 million viewers, rivaling ratings recorded by The Last Dance, the most-watched documentary in ESPN history. At its peak, 6.3 million people tuned in. Those ratings set a record for a cable golf telecast, according to Turner Sports. That means more people tuned in to watch Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady play for charity than have ever watched an early round cable broadcast of a major.

Sports starved, hopefully this means the economy will skyrocket with the pent up demand.
I enjoyed it.
I loved the format!
This took place in Hobe Sound, FL where I call home. Tiger lives just across the ICW in Jupiter Fl.
One announcer said Charles your fat a**! I thought that was hilarious.
I liked it. Funny to see Brady split his pants and realizing that stupid crap happens to them, too.
I’m an avid, lifetime golfer and a fan of the PGA. I had no interest at all in an exhibition match involving any of these guys so I didn’t tune in.
It helped this old guy enjoy a bit of sport. I just can’t wait for baseball!!!
I know people that dont watch golf and only did to catch Charles Barkley.
Not us.
No Arnie, Jack, Gary, Lee
It’s over
Yeah, he said “we had to call it “feed the world” instead of “Feed Charles”.
Peyton is actually a pretty funny guy.
I think he could be the second coming of Dandy Don, if he wanted to get into the booth.
CocaCola Classic rain delay.
I liked it. Funny to see Brady split his pants and realizing that stupid crap happens to them, too.
...
Brady is on a streak. The police told him to leave a park in Tampa, he walked into a stranger’s house and now he ripped his pants.
It was first-rate entertainment. The driving rain made it even more interesting.
Are there 4 guys (or gals) you would having interest watching in an exhibition golf match?
I keep looking for a total rerun of the match somewhere.
On the TV channels or on YouTube.
All I find on Youtube is a bunch of videos that are not a rerun at all. They are just a bunch of jabber mouth “remote” talking heads commenting on highlights they think worthy to “review”. When what is most unworthy is all their jabber.
It was great to watch. Fun WX too!
I enjoyed it. Brady started slow but hit some great shots.
Manning was solid. Russel Wilson donated 100,000 meals for any and all golfers that could get within 12 feet of the hole on the last 3 par
All but Tiger did.
