It may have taken most Americans awhile to stand up, but this past weekend gave me hope. I think people were slow to push back because of how fast state governments moved to close things down, catching everyone, myself included, by surprise. But it appears people have really started giving local and state “mandates” the collective finger.

We are Americans people, start acting like it.

And the local media is still trying to shame people for getting back to normal life. There was a big pool party in Houston and the local news Karen was breathless in her disgust as nobody was social distancing or wearing masks.

‘But it appears people have really started giving local and state “mandates” the collective finger.’

I like it when the governor’s get all pissy about the people pushing back, and run to the media, whining in their pressers about ‘chaos’ and ‘apocalypse’...Wolf of PA and Evers of WI particularly come to mind...

I try not to hate people; some of these elected officials are making that hard...

“it appears people have really started giving local and state “mandates” the collective finger.”

It’s heartening to see that the groups are primarily young people. Maybe they aren’t quite the snowflakes we accused them of being.
