This is also evidenced by the repeated use of the phrase “I don’t care” and “I don’t believe”. Small life you lead, crouched down in some overstuffed chair smelling your used socks in some dank basement, reading musty moldy newspapers while listening to some erstwhile crooner screeching on the record player; not much remaining to care about or believe in.
