It isn’t “just” the flu. For people in nursing homes, it is vastly worse. For the young, it is vastly LESS. So why are we keeping young workers from working? Why aren’t we spending bucks protecting the nursing homes?
And of course, it also thrives in filthy subways. Why has NYC gone so long refusing to CLEAN UP THEIR DAMN SUBWAYS?
For those of us who live where subways are sandwiches, and who are not in a nursing home and don’t have severe health issues already, it is a pretty low risk virus.
Trump is vastly better than the Democrats, but he is also someone whose world view is too closely tied to NYC. NYC was hit hard because people who live cheek to jowl, smelling each other’s farts while living in filth, are high risk. And almost no one wants to tell them so!
It will be a wake up call to folks to lose weight and avoid diabetes
