Supply - Demand - Equilibrium
As demand increases, the price will rise slightly, thereby making it profitable for others to enter the market and produce the same drug, which will in turn have a downward pressure on the price. They result, a higher demand is met with a higher supply, but with only a small uptick in price.
Since HCQ is out of patent, it can be made generically by any outfit that can meet the quality/safety standards for the medication.
