A hospital based in Illinois has responded after a video was seen of one of their nurses at a crowded Wisconsin bar after the state lifted their stay-at-home orders.
Crowds of people, most without masks, packed bars in Wisconsin hours after the states supreme court knocked down their stay-at-home order. Among the revelers was a nurse with ties to a local health organization.
Id like to express my regret for not wearing a mask or practicing social dista...

Seems your screen name is a bit ironic.
“What kind of Freeper would I be if I read the article?”
LOL...we’d toss you right out and you’d be an ex-FReeper!
On the Internet, you have to do the laugh track in your head...
Unfortunately, she appears guilty.
Color me surprised. Docs and RNs are adults and have freedoms to do as they will. Perhaps you want all of us in lockdown too?
Yes she does ! But not at a crowded bar.
So where do you draw the line? What if there were an active smallpox outbreak?
No controls whatsoever?
Greater restrictions on those who care for the sick?
Everybody locked down?
For mild diseases like influenza?
More serious ones like COVID?
Even more contagious and deadly ones like measles and smallpox?
It’s all shades of gray. There are no black and white choices.
I have a FB strictly for friends and family, but I hardly go on it. I’m thinking about nuking it too.
The woman to her right is guilty too, of whatever.
So to stay in your basement for the rest of your life. Im sick of this shit and wont comply anymore.

covid is no more serious than influenza. And freedom is pretty black and white. Until a few weeks ago in this country it took a warrant and pretty hard evidence or a nudge and jury to deprive someone of their rights. Now any petty tyrant official can deprive all of us of our rights on a whim
Now any petty tyrant official can deprive all of us of our rights on a whim
Only if we let them. I hereby officially withdraw my consent.

Do we know if shes guilty or not?
As with so many good things I learned down in the gutter...
It is said that they will provide warmth in the winter and shade in the summer.
That said if you watch the video at the link...
“Anyone working in patient areas needs some time to relax.”
People have different stress thresholds. None of us would appreciate being told by people we don’t know what we do or don’t “need”. Maybe chilling at a bar is her best way for R and R.
She isn’t a kid, and has a responsible position, so probably can weigh options and make good decisions.
I wouldn’t apologize. This is beyond ridiculous at this point
Did she break the law? No, she did not.
Was she on duty? No, she was not.
Case closed.
Off the clock, not the employer's business unless she signed a specific statement claiming that she would not do this.
Can't blame her for wanting to get away. Probably shouldn't have talked to the news.
I’ve been out and about probably four days out of five since this crap started. Walking and hiking all over town, around the San Fran Bay, up in the hills and mountains. Been to stores three times a week. I haven’t let this order stop me other than not being able to go to restaurants. I even sit on the yellow “CAUTION” tape used to close off park benches (call me a rebel).
But I’m not in health care taking care of susceptible patients. Big difference. I think there’s a special duty on health care workers to protect their patients and that includes not going to places where there’s a high likelihood you can get exposed to disease.
