"I always get this guy mixed up with Willard Scott for some reason." I would regularly confuse Fred Willard with Frank Bonner (Herb Tarlek on WKRP). Both were very prolific actors in the 70s and 80s, and usually seemed to wind up in similar roles.

Player.
Peace to his family & friends. His service is greatly appreciated. One was in for a treat with Fred on the screen.

I loved him as the misspeaking mayor in Steve Martins Roxanne.
Id rather be with the people of this town than with the finest people in the world!
It was intended to be a complement, but came off as amusingly insulting.

He was fantastic in Best in Show and his appearances on Everybody Loves Raymond were equally as great.

I didn’t know Patty Deutsch was in Ace Trucking Company.
I know her from Match Game.

I put him, Martin Mull, and Bob Newhart in the same group of favorite types. All great, but Bob Newhart does edge them out, but only by a little.

He was in so many things, and we enjoyed him in all of them.
Loved his natural sense of humor.
To: billorites
Shame, I always enjoyed his work.
