Following a link on Twitter titled, "Does Your State Say You Can't Have HCQ?", I found a table of data, organized by state, documenting information given to pharmacists regarding HCQ.

The table is constantly being updated so the data is only valid today as tomorrow could bring changes. I took the time to post it above because it will likely be made unavailable to the public if people actually reference their state's information - we aren't allowed information.

For California - there's a warning dated 4/1/2020 that it's unprofessional to prescribe medication "inappropriately" and that they must follow the law etc. Here's the CA notice:

"The California Department of Consumer Affairs, the Medical Board of California, and the California State Board of Pharmacy remind health care professionals that inappropriately prescribing or dispensing medications constitutes unprofessional conduct in California. Prescribers and pharmacists are obligated to follow the law, standard of care, and professional codes of ethics in serving their patients and public health."

So, no, in California we are not permitted to have HCQ but no one will actually tell us that! I've seen documents stressing that all patients are entitled to and should be guaranteed the "standard of care" but the upper echelon medical community insists that these drugs are NOT the standard of care. The documents I'm seeing are written to imply we all get the care we need when they are actually declaring that we shall not get HCQ.

Here's the link to the table of states' info:

some of the language used in some states is quite hard to understand clearly- some parts make it look like the state does prescribe it- then the next part makes it appear like it can only be prescribed in basically an emergency situation in a hospital setting in some states-

YAY~!
I hope more docs follow in his decision. I fear hard hit areas where CA has been cultivating slumps will not get the “standard of care” drugs. Los Angeles and San Francisco have garbage pile slums with feces on the sidewalks and I fear areas like that, and other Dem strong holds may “toe the line” and “prescribe inappropriately”. But your doc gives me HOPE!

My anecdote of the day, had patient present who has lupus and is on plaquenil. Nasal swabs negative x3. Now intubated and tracheal aspirate sample is positive. Clearly has severe disease. Has been on 200mg bid plaquenil since 2017.

I’ve had 6 patients so far on HCQ at baseline who came in with moderate to severe COVID-19. 3 did fine, just some O2 via NC and home in a few days, 1 needed HFNC, 2 got tubed with 1 recovering and 1 dying.

So I have no conclusions whatsoever to draw from that lol

Texas Pharmacy Board Backs Down on Coronavirus Medicine Restrictions

The Texas pharmacy board changed its guidance so that physicians are no longer required to provide a written diagnosis when prescribing hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus patients.

My doc firmly believes this remedy keeps people OUT of hospitals he told me first sign of fever and sore throat start taking HYDRO, ZPACK, ZINC!! No problems so far for myself or my mother who is 90, I am out all the time and I refuse to wear the damn mask unless forced by store!! So far only store forcing is Costco I buy my meats at Costco, went to Smart and Final they told me I had to wear a mask I left because Walmart doesn’t force the mask issue and I can get groceries there instead of Smart and Final!!

Good find.

The limiting of HCQ in NYS as outlined in this chart has been horrendous. I see some other states have similar limits.

Ms. Note:
If the States are not hyperlinked (example: Michigan) does that mean there is no info available to NASPA?
Tabular formatting didn’t carry over clean.

State attorney generals need to get involved with all HIPA information required by the pharmacist to fill the prescription. If there is a HIPA violation they need to start prosecuting.

“Texas Pharmacy Board Backs Down on Coronavirus Medicine Restrictions”
I saw a doctor from Texas on Fox last night who was being told by pharmacies
that they would not fill her prescriptions. She was pissed and rightfully so I think. The government getting involved in this is criminal. Thanks for getting the list out there.

At the link, the table looks the same (e.g., Michigan has no information). In a related link to this page, there’s more information (e.g., Michigan)
