I'm on FB and twitter primarily to follow certain people. Rarely do I post anything. I still don't get how a lot of it works. FB stuff seems to “disappear”. Twitter I'm very new and can't follow the threads. Some of those other sites (like DU) I can't follow at all on who is posting to who or the time line, etc.

Free-Republic is so straight forward. Can see the time line, replies, search, spelling, etc.

Exactly! FR is the best forum with a format that is logical and easy to follow. Have gone to Conservative Treehouse, Breitbart, etc., and the flow makes no sense. They’re flashy and precious, but FR makes it easy to follow posts, “back up” and find prior posts to a reply, etc.
