A few years back, I happen to be at a huge “social” event/party along with several friends, and there was some of that West Virginia “lightening” being passed around....I took one sip of that stuff, and it was enough for me. They had it on ice and peach-flavored, smooth & easy going down, but man, talk about a fricken’ “kick”...geez.
Before the night was out, one of our friends ended up just about like that pig....LOL

I can remember a little gathering where someone had brought some “apple pie”. I had a sip; it tasted very much like its namesake, with no alcohol taste. The guy told me it was around 160 proof.

I stopped with the one sip.

All moonshine will give you the worst hangover you ever had.

All of it.

That’s why civilized men started barrel aging their whisky.

And if you put moonshine in a good barrel for a few years, it is no longer moonshine, but barrel strength whisky.

8 or 10 years is better.

Don’t be uncivilized.
