FWIW, my wife, a naturalized American Citizen from Southeast Asia cannot stand Fauci. She says he creeps her out. And, she tells me she’s not alone. Many of her girlfriends and female co-workers feel the same way.
She calls him Dr. Doom. If anyone expresses even the slightest optimism or expresses an alternate thought or presents different data he immediately pours cold water on any of it. 1. What Dr. Fauci was refering to was following the Guidelines for Opening Up America Again (PDF) that the President approved. He was talking about following those guidelines and not skipping steps, just like he said in the clip.
2. Turker says Fauci implied schools and colleges would repoen only if there was a cure or vaccine. Dr. Fauci did not say that, did not say we have to be shut down until there is a cure, and acknowledged that a vaccine might not happened.
3. Yes he warned if we reopened to fast things could get worse. Maybe that's why the there are the guidelines.
