As pointed out on another thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3844634/posts?q=1&;page=151
“When Flynn pled guilty to making false statements to the FBI he had no idea that the entire government investigation was not legitimate, only the government wouldve known that. Which means Flynn did not commit perjury in making his plea deal. He never actually committed a crime but he had no way of knowing that at the time of his plea deal.”
Which makes sense logically, However, he did not commit purjury because:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3844634/posts?q=1&;page=151
“Pleading guilty when you are innocent is not lying to the judge. You are not under oath when you plead guilty or not guilty.
People withdraw their guilty pleas all the time. You can do it any time before you are sentenced.
“You cannot commit perjury unless you lie while under oath. Flynn was never under oath. He was accused of lying to the FBI. That is only a crime if the FBI is working a legitimate investigation. There was no valid predicate for questioning Flynn in the first place. So even if he knowingly lied, he did not commit a crime. It was the FBI that committed all the crimes.”
(It was a good thread, and had a good discussion of Sullivan’s irregular action in appointing an “amicus” Judge, Judge Gleeson.
When Flynn pled guilty to making false statements to the FBI he had no idea that the entire government investigation was not legitimate, only the government wouldve known that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m sure that was not the case. Flynn knowingly sacrificed himself. 19 interviews he made as part of the “plea bargain”.
Good point that is more to the point. Thanks, I will check out the other thread.
