No, youre prejudiced against intelligent people who see through your facade.
Youre prejudiced against white people from the South, because they actually have a lifetime of experience that you pretend to have, because youve met a couple of black girls and youve seen some other black people.
It probably never occurred to you that a great number of people you disparage for being Southern, are black, Hispanic, Asian, and anything but white. It never occurred to you, because you dont think of them as people, or Americans. I have news for you. My neighbors are every bit as Southern as any other Southerner. Theyre every bit as American as you like to think you are. They are three-dimensional people, not black paper dolls for your cut-out collection.
You like to think youre enlightened, and everyone not like you is a dumb ass kook. A black girl was courteous to you once, so you were courteous to a completely different unrelated black girl, as if that has anything to do with anything, and you use that as an excuse to stay secluded in your racist world, as you try to enlighten those who dont share your limited view of the world.
You are every bit the bigot you like to pretend other people are. Youve just chosen Southerners as your target for outward aggression, and blacks as your target for inward aggression. Outwardly, you defend them against racism where it doesnt exist, and inwardly you tailer your life to avoid having them in your world.
But youre ever so enlightened.
I believe you are correct. I am prejudiced against white ppl from the South. I can’t understand why their ancestors thought it was permissible to actually own a slave.
My grandfather had to have a HIRED HAND to help him farm.
Once I visited a plantation in GA. The little yellow house that the slaves lived in was all painted nice. The freaking state displays it as something to be proud of.
I know about Southern Hospitality- people of all colors. and being raised with manners (another Southern tradition) but I just cant get over the whole slavery thing. Even the black women in DC were very gracious to me. (I worked in the school chow hall. I didn’t like the way the students treated me and the others. My boss told me I couldn’t insult the students/richyriches.)
For the record my Gpa was friends with the Sioux Chief, read about the Treaty at Travers de Sioux. Benedict J.Young.
You don’t know anything about me. You jumped to conclusions and called me a bunch of names.
that must make you feel big.
I just think owning people is wrong.
