BRUNSWICK, Ga. The Georgia attorney general on Monday named a new prosecutor to oversee the case of Ahmaud Arbery, the 25-year-old black man whose killing has drawn national attention and stirred protests after a video circulated showing his fatal encounter with two white men who have been charged with murder.

No prosecutor in their right mind wants their lives ruined by being blasted by every mass media outlet.
It is a much better choice to stay far far away from the case—for older prosecutors retirement is a better choice, for younger prosecutors a change in location would be the way to go.
One of the secrets of success in life is to know what the really bad jobs and tasks are, and stay the f^%$ away from them—by any means necessary.
Arbrey's home was only 2-3 miles from where the shooting occurred. I looked it up on Google maps.
Might be a car, if so, bet it was long ago moved by Arbrey's family. His older brother is a career criminal. Hard to believe they would not know the importance of removing evidence such as that.
I’m talking about the way crimes are treated by the media, not the police. Since you’ve brought up the subject though, you do realize that we’ve been under lockdown for almost 2 months, that many parts of state, local and federal government are running at half speed at best?
They did their jobs just fine in the first place. Before the media propaganda made it into a racism circus, the matter was settled and done, and the District Attorney had come to a reasonable conclusion regarding it.
You should read the letter the District Attorney (Barnhill or something) wrote about the matter. He nailed it on every important detail.
This is now just a Roman circus for people wanting blood, and they don't care what the truth is.
I've seen people saying it was between 8 and 20 miles, so I guess a lot of people were just repeating it without checking, as apparently I have done.
I will take your word on the 2-3 mile distance being the accurate one. That is actually a reasonable amount for a jogger to run.

Yeah, i've seen some other commentary about the brother having a huge criminal record.
H”e was NOT a jogger for Petes Sake. He was wearing cargo pants, belt, and his pants were halfway down his ass. And he was shown walking in one of the videos”

Doesn’t matter. MSM says “jogger”. It’s a jogger. Benjamin Crump likely came up with it to fit the planned narrative.
Is there a link to the report somewhere?
I have not seen it, just references to it.
Thank you. Very helpful.
So its your contention that they would have gotten around to arresting these two eventually even if pressure had not been brought?
No News Tonight now floating hate crime stuff, nothing on case history backgrounds.
I believe that with media pressure, it was inevitable that they would be at least questioned again, if not arrested, yes. The letter posted on this thread lays out why one prosecutor recused himself from the case and some commentators gave reasons why few prosecutors would want to take the case; i.e., they see it as unwinnable and a “hot potato” issue. The next usual step is to go to the DOJ to press federal charges under “hate” crimes statutes. While we can debate whether the father/son duo did something foolish, under Georgia’s laws, prosecutor’s obviously feel they don’t have a winnable case against them.
“Guy holding gun moved forward, but he did not cross all the way to the other side of the truck to intercept Jogging man.”
He was not seen from 15 to 20.
At 20 he was moving backwards in front of truck.
Your claim cannot be verified based on video.
You can see their feet, and you can see some heads through the rear window and front windshield. It's distorted, but a blob can still be identified as a moving head.
I think the FBI will probably use their enhancement magic on this video and we will see a clearer set of images.
Doesn’t look anything like the pic the “News” plasters all over the place...
Nailed it!
Actually we probably know 80% of it. But refuse to acknowledge the facts because then we might get called racist. And can’t have that.
Yes but it’s very very likely it’s admissable in court.
He wasn’t wearing boots.
But he also wasn’t jogging either.
