Most of the ‘you can’t have my information for contact tracing’ people don’t realize that if they have a cell phone (any cell phone) they’re already being traced.

Ditto the ones on facebook.

I had to politely ask my MIL NOT to put pics of my youngsters on facebook when she first signed up over 10 years ago when they were still little. You don’t know who sees those even IF you’ve got things set to private.

That’s funny, I used to be paranoid about license plate cameras, transponders, facial recognition cameras, etc. tracking my movements (which, of course they do).

Then I read an article saying, in effect: “Don’t worry about all that, they just use your cell phone these days”. So now I don’t worry, I’ve lost the battle!

Yes very smart

I have a knack for being able to track people down via facebook friends/pics/posts etc.

I would make an excellent skip tracer or crazy stalker. lol

Some phones do much more than trace your movements.

I used to have a friend I talked with in Starbucks. He had his phone OFF the whole time. Afterwards, I would get ads for things that the phone thought we had talked about, like the ones you get on Drudge Report linked to your personal messages. They hook onto a key word and try to make some money off of you.

Of course the phones can be used for other purposes too.
