I saw you had the Mediterranean anemia. How often do you require transfusions.

I was transfusion dependent for over a year. But before getting the first 3 bags, I could barely get up the steps. It was awful.

Have you ever had one of those pulmonary function tests? It is one thing I try to get out of each and every time. The last time I was given it, the tech kept messing up and making me repeat the breathing exercise. At the end she said, oh no - nothing registered. We’re going to have to start over. I had already been huffing and puffing for an hour. I got up and walked out.

Not tranfusion dependent, thank goodness.

most of the research is done on the severe transfusion types so it’s hard to get any info on my version and most Dr’s dont know jack about it.

this breathing thing is hard to deal with. dont get it often and body just panics on it’s own.

I feel for anyone who has to deal with breathing issues on a daily basis.

Wuhan flu will mentally do me in if I get the kind that has the breathing issues.
