He lost alright, because what the decedent did is not only highly suspect, but suicidal. A fairly predictable outcome.

My hunch at this point is the decedent was a burglary suspect and when confronted decided to attempt to physically disarm the person who was attempting to speak with and or detain the decedent. Those clearly were not the actions of an innocent jogger in my opinion.

You are very wrong on this case. But let's suppose the jogger was seen by someone in a construction site. If that someone then called the two men in the truck but the two men in the truck didn't actually witness the crime, then they are not able to lawfully detain someone. So this means the two men committed unlawful imprisonment and then first degree murder in the state of Georgia.

People like you seem to see what you want to see on the video but you don't think about the actual law or how it works. In order to effect a citizen arrest you have to witness a crime taking place and never lose sight of the suspect. At the VERY least that did not happen here. These two idiots are most likely going away for life, as they should. And if/when a jury of their peers finds them guilty I hope you will realize the world is not always as you see it.

Yes a neighbor. Going after and filming a guy they just busted trespassing after a history if break ins. They identified the guy because they’ve already seen him prowling around. He’s the 911 caller I think.

You silly. He wasn’t jogging.
He was fleeing the scene after being busted for trespassing.

The third person involved - Bryan Williams.

He gave the video to an attorney.

The attorney released the video Tuesday.

That’s what it LOOKS like maybe but surely you understand you’re being manipulated right?

Oh no, my friend. I was merely giving the other poster the benefit of the doubt. The fact is that the two idiots saw no crime being committed by the jogger. They received a phone call from a neighbor. That alone nulls a citizens arrest. The this “string” of burglaries consisted of two thefts over a two month span while only one was reported to the police. And from what I hear that video does not give probable cause to arrest this specific jogger by any means. It was a bad shoot. Accept it.

“This is the shooting they pretend the Michael Brown shooting was.”

Brilliantly stated.

That alone nulls a citizens arrest.

The trial won't be over if they passed the test on making a proper citizens arrest because it never happened anyway.

My comments have been strictly based on the video. Leeme ask you, do you think it was reasonable the descendant ran 20' right at the person with the gun and attempted to physically disarm him after being told they wanted to speak to him and or put him under citizens arrest?

Do ya think that's a normal response for someone out for an innocent jog?

??

Is it really normal for civilians with guns to confront other civilians? You pull a gun on somebody who isn’t expecting it and there is no telling how they may react.

Yes, it happens all the time. Everyday in fact.

Btw, the decedent reacted as if he was desperate, and or pissed off that he’d been caught. No one in their right mind runs 20’ at someone with a shotgun and attempts to physically disarm them. Again, the decedents actions were not those of an innocent jogger. I would think that’s pretty obvious.

Looks like even if the police had confronted him had they been called, it would have been the same situation. Bum rushing like Michael Brown. Another BLM situation. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

As far as reporting stolen property, what good does that do? Are you going to get it back? Especially, when in my old neighborhood my dad could no longer go inside for a drink of water only to find one of them ran off with the edger on the grass. Or your kid’s stolen bike. You couldn’t even leave a can of paint outside overnight.

I called 911 one night when I saw several “teens” prowling around this home across the street, and two black cops showed up and gave me really bad attitude.

Crime is the new privilege.

Yes, it happens all the time. Everyday in fact.

If someone is trespassing on someone else's property maybe. On a public street, it's a lot rarer.

Btw, the decedent reacted as if he was desperate, and or pissed off that he’d been caught.

Or p*ssed off that a-holes with guns were after him.

Again, the decedents actions were not those of an innocent jogger.

Nonsense. It wasn't a bright thing to do, but there is always somebody, guilty or innocent, who will lunge at another guy pointing a gun at them if that guy isn't a cop. Adrenaline, panic. Two bearded jack*sses point a gun at you and you may not think it's the time to be reasonable and try to win them over or to surrender and submit to whatever they have in mind.

As people have said, there were no robberies that day, so really what are the odds that the jogger wasn't just an innocent jogger who didn't know what to do when two guys with guns came after him? I'm not saying that they intended to kill him. I'm just saying we shouldn't convict the dead guy of anything without evidence.

You OBVIOUSLY don’t know the actual law.

If you attack someone who’s lawfully holding a gun, then attempt to disarm them, they can LEGALLY shoot and kill you. Full stop.

Reminds me of Dylan lyrics

You better go back to from where you came
Because the cops don’t need you
And man they expect the same

Ya think? And could it also have been out of desperation, or anger because someone was trying to stop him? And even though you implied the decedent simply did something stupid, you really don't know why he ran towards and tired to physical disarm the gunman, do you? Better stick to the evidence at hand.

There is a lot we do not know but we do know the perps are in jail charged with murder, they are pondering how much bail they can afford, wondering if the guy who shot the video will be a witness for the prosecution, thinking about the Grand Jury, thinking about how they can each raise the cash for good lawyers, and on top of that, they are laying in their bunks pondering Their move in a game of The Prisoners’ Dilemma.

They will let get a great goodnights sleep.

And then the Clock goes tic toc

You don't know either and you are jumping to the conclusion that he was guilty. I make no conclusion. I'm just saying some people do things like that.

Better stick to the evidence at hand.

Ditto for you.
