Should have accompanied this with a statewide curfew on 16 year olds from !2AM Midnight to 11:59 PM.
Heavens! THINK of the car insurance those parents have to pay and pay and pay.
My wife said this was all over the local Atlanta news last night. She is really angry and embarrassed with our Governor Kemp.
I suspect even less has been done with illegals in California getting driver’s licenses.
American drivers licenses come out of crackerjack boxes anyway. What we consider a driving test wouldn’t even get you a learners permit in Europe. Might as well skip em.
Can the other 49 states refuse to allow these drivers to drive in their states?
San Antonio, Houston and Dallas Drivers are horrible. Just horrible. But Atlanta drivers!? Whoa. Very dangerous. Crazy place.
What’s the problem, can’t the parents teach the kids?
This is a big reason why our cars have dash cams. Since we took the gun safety courses and been to the range I realized if driving safety was taken half as seriously as firearms safety our insurance premiums would be like chump change.
first they killed cursive.....now THIS???
No wonder our kids are all p**sies
Well, I did my driver’s test back in the late 60s, and it was pretty much a joke. Parallel park, drive about 50 yards down the street to a vacant parking lot, stop in a straight line from from 30mph or 35mph, 3 point turn. That was about it. Any meaningful test would take way too long to be practical.
They should’ve done it via Skype.
Both my kids got their licenses in Georgia. The state requires 40 hours of driving with 10 hours to be done during night time. There's a book used to record this driving activity and it is in almost all cases done with a parent as a passenger. We dod not allow our oldest child to teach the youngest, btw. Which means these kids are only going to be as good as the parents ability to teach their kids.
Wondering, guessing, if this situation required that book to be turned in as a condition of receiving the approved licenses.
My son got his drivers license without a road test, in Texas, about 10 years ago.
Next up:
“Bicycle Riding via Telelearning:
Learn to ride a bicycle online with our excellent instructors”
How does this make any sense?
“Here kid, you can now drive!”
“Now stay the flunk at home, there’s a virus!”
Might be a good time for some elderly citizens to renew. During one of his radio commentaries in the seventies, Reagan talked about getting a license in his era and how much more complicated it is now. I’m not sure how much the drivers test adds to the process.
People drive like they do in Mexico anyway!
