Yeah she is good, as were the other kids, not sure I can say the same about the sax player though. Sounded like he missed a few notes here & there. 8>)
dude, you just opened a door to a whole world of my favorite music that I never knew was out there..........Those kids were great and Alba years later is even better as a singer in the genre'.....Incredible

I first saw THE SANT ANDREU JAZZ BAND videos probably about 2 years ago now...This band, under the direction of Joan Chamorro; simply blew me away~ They were “spot on” in playing these new arrangements of songs from the Great American Songbook...so professionally...the vocal artists especially were so GOOD..
Dr.Joan Chamorro (PHD in Pedagogy of Music Education) has done a remarkable job..a musical genius!~..he started the band in 2006, when a lot of these kids were maybe 8 to 11 years old; the average age of the kids in this band is 15 years old, then they age out of the band at 21.
There are over 500 videos on youtube that show how well these kids have developed their skills over the years..most of them are LIVE in performance. (Kudos to David Catsamitjana, who mikes and records these live videos) Warning! These music videos are ADDICTIVE!
Today, those original kids are now performing in Jazz festivals and concerts all over the world..(thinking here of Andrea Motis, Eva Fernandez, the great RITA PAYES, and Magali Datzira...there are others as well, but these girls are exceptional in every way~!)
All of their albums (with the band and SOLO albums too) can be found on Spotify, Pandora, bandcamp..so anyone can listen to them free ~ of course, they’ll also let’cha buy ‘em too at www.jazztojazz.com . There is also a “FRIENDS OF THE SANT ANDREU JAZZ BAND in ENGLISH” page on facebook, it was started about 2 months ago, it now has over 2000 members.
