I must respectfully disagree. As I see it, it takes a lot to invalidate the Commandment “honor your mother and your father”. A political disagreement - or even a marriage disagreement - isn’t enough.
If the parents won’t accept a child’s spouse, and won’t attend the marriage, that is their choice. In that case, a separation might be the best thing.
But continue to honor them. Send cards/emails on their birthdays and on holidays. If that do no not respond, that is their choice. But continue to honor them.
You are not an equal with your parents. So cut them as much slack as you can.
