Donald Trump Jr. offered to walk a woman down the aisle on her wedding day after she posted a video explaining her “liberal” parents rejected her over her conservative fiancé, who she says they “hate.”
“So my parents hate my fiancé because he’s a conservative and they’re liberal and they refuse to go to our wedding,” the woman said, explaining they gave her an ultimatum of “choosing between him or them.”
“So, I chose myself in that I chose what would make me happiest in the long run. And my mother told me I was incapable of being loved or being in a relationship because I was assaulted when I was 17. So, I chose my fiancé, she said, announcing that, because of the rift with her parents, she will be walking herself down the aisle.
“So, if anyone has a dad that would like to walk me down the aisle, let me know,” she added.

Like most Liberals the parents are childish spoiled brats.
I know a very conservative GOP elected office holder. He and his wife have had to embrace a very Liberal son-in-law, and have done so with love and grace. Politics can not be the be all and end all of life.

Correct. Just last week I had to cut communications with my single middle aged niece who has ruined her own life with alcohol. We have always tried to provide emotional support and encouragement through her problems, but now she has become abusive and feels morally superior to us because we are Trump supporters. It makes me sad, but at our age we don’t need the stress.
Parents biggest mistake is to give their daughters an “us or him” ultimatum. She’ll choose “him” every time and cut them out. Makes no difference if he has no job, is a junkie, is a complete loser, etc. she’s going to choose him because he is now her pet project. She’s going to love him and change him and prove everybody wrong - that’s how they think because women tend not to use reason when the subject is love. The more obstacles you throw up against her, the greater is her conviction that her love was meant to overcome all of it.
Hate to break it to you, parents. Your daughter wants to assert her independence and nothing gets those juices flowing more than to tell her you disapprove of her choice. Enjoy missing their wedding and not seeing your eventual grandchildren.

Our family gatherings came to a screeching halt. Untenable and definitely unhealthy.

Just remember: The Democrats are the Tolerant Party! Anyone who disagrees with them is Intolerant. Keep repeating that to yourself until you know it’s true.

I wish I understand liberals better but it seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with them that even they don’t recognize. I don’t know if it’s a deep selfishness or deep self denial of what they and other human beings really are. It could be they possess little or less empathy than the average person.
She is very pretty and for such a pretty young woman to be told that she could never be loved is a shame. You wonder I’d she believed it for any amount of time because she probably did.
I know a handful of women like her mom through female friends I have. They are ALL “libprogs” and they are ALL damaged! They aggressively and passively poison their daughters.
