The art of Pompeiis Temple of Isis. Music is Roman Banquet, an original composition for replica lyre in the ancient Hypophrygian Mode, by Michael Levy. I really like this one. Its the strangest mix of image styles that makes me think of Medieval AND modern art. First announcement of a video since the channel went over a million views! Thank you. As always, the ads belong to the copyright owners, not to me.
This should be the last of the pieces using the older music. Planning on more traditional classical music to go with the last Pompeii video, which will be an overview. After that, on to Renaissance artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1526-1593) and his fruit faces.
PING for conversation on the Temple of Isis
Stunning! Pompeii is on my bucket list.
that is some amazing art work.

AND, just to make musical matters more complex, The Hypophrygian Mode may be easily mistaken for the Locrain mode, which ALSO starts on the “ti” before “do”.
Here’s a nice little You Tube video about the Locrian Mode:

Now, although the songs featured (Björk, The Strokes and Metallica)in the video are nothing like the music in your Pompeii Video, they use the same kind of weird mode.
It also discussed the Phrygian Mode.
So very pleased you liked it. The multicolor fluffy lion was my favorite.
Congrats on the million! WOW!
The art work you selected is stunning, (as usual!) and not the pieces which are so often shown in clips about Pompeii. I really enjoyed the Levy Hypophrygian work. It is wonderful to hear music structured on the ancient classical Greek music scales.
Not to mention the fact that he’s composing for the harp!
LOL! I noticed that! Beautiful!
