A mother duck and her eleven ducklings had a very lucky escape after they were run over by a motorist while crossing a highway. Footage shows the shocked parent bird flap into the air as the vehicle mows over her brood in Fort Worth, Texas, before gathering up her unhurt ducklings and continuing with the perilous crossing. A bystander can be heard shouting moments before the car hits: 'Mother duck, where's your yellow safety vest?'

You can tell a lot about a man by how he treats animals.
Yeah, it was "just a squirrel", a "rodent", a "tree rat", but NORMAL people don't do stuff like that.
I say this as one who has hunted and eaten many squirrels. You don't just run over them in the street.
No he wasn’t. Read the article for a change.
Yes, you can. And, you can tell a lot about people when you learn they hold animals in higher regard than people. THAT is a really dangerous sign.
Amazing how some of you folks on here are all for people being charged over animal issues and say absolutely nothing about Democrats and the media destroying the economy of the nation and ruining the lives of millions of PEOPLE. Now, THAT is telling.
I find the easiest way to miss a squirrel is to aim for him. He’ll be somewhere else by the time you get to him. The only time I’ve hit them was when I was trying to miss.
Fine those ducks for violating social distancing guidelines.
Good thing they had AFLAC
I think the meaning of run over and mowed over need to be addressed.
It seems a car went over the ducks but didn’t mow them down or run them over.
You move to the first side, he moves to the other side.
You then take your jacket and drape it over whatever is handy, a bush or small tree.
Then you move to the other side.
Squirrel moves to the first side, sees the jacket and thinks it's a human, so he moves back to the other side, where you are. BAM!
You can tell a lot about a man by how he treats animals.
Amen! Too bad those that I call out for being so blind and stupid as well as moronic on some sights don’t really know just what a nice person I really am and I’m married to a man that treats our babies better than ourselves.....;)
Hang on... Mother flew away and ducklings unhurt?
Maybe the driver was trying to hit them. Or...maybe the driver was trying to straddle them with the tires—missing them? Ducklings can’t fly. They would probably just hug the pavement, so the car would go over them. Mother would probably fly off and certainly would if the driver slowed.
I dunno. Just sayin’.
Saw the video. Not nice. Brood is lucky.
I almost hit a squirrel once......I ended up driving across two lawns and a garden before it finally ran up a tree........
We save those comments for the hundreds of threads dealing directly with that subject........
We don't come to your economy/covid 19 threads and pollute them with talk about baby ducks so don't come here and pollute ours whining about the economy.........
I have ‘always’ said I want to ‘go’ peacefully, in my sleep.
Just like my Aunt Lizzy, not the girls in the backseat all screaming when she went over the cliff.
A lot of people hate Muscovy ducks but I like them, their favorite food is termites and they go crazy trying to snap the termites up when the destructive bugs are in the flight stage streaming out of the ground to mate.
Those must be Trump ducks, the Democrats keep trying to mow him over to no avail.
lol
