Restaurants operate on a tight margin in the best of times. Capacity limits will kill them.

Here in Texas they have allowed 50% capacity if the county has 5 or less cases. Otherwise it’s only 25% capacity.

Most of those still aren’t open because it’s not even worth it to open with just 25% capacity. Can’t even pay the light bill with that!

Before all this we used to go out to dinner at least once a week. Over the years we've seen a bunch of very popular excellent restaurants close without warning. If that happens during the good times, just imagine limiting occupancy.

If they try to force that I don't think we'll have any restaurants anymore. But it will be way worse than that. Not just restaurants, but bars, sports venues, live entertainment or social gatherings. Hotels, airlines and travel will be wiped out completely. That's why I believe at some point soon we need to sell the fact that the shutdown was a mistake.

Maybe the restaurants can offer a second meal to go for a discount.

What will kill them is no law suit protection and the rats are blocking that.

A lot of chain restaurants already limit capacity as a cost saving tool. I can’t tell you how many times I went to Chili’s only to have to wait for a seating while 1/3 or more of the tables sat empty.

The restaurant business is seven days a week 15 to 18 hours a day

and it’s almost impossible to make it the only way you make it is if your medium to high end

Booze as were many restaurants make most of their money

If you don’t have a liquor license there’s no way you’re going to make it

Yep!
The only people who don’t know this are politicians, union and non-profit workers.

I’m figuring 50 % of all restaurants in the US will be closed by November..... What do governors know about running a business...What the hell are capacity restraints?????
