Carnival Cruise Line announced it plans to resume some North American sailings starting Aug. 1.

The return to service will take a "phased-in approach," according to the company, focusing on eight ships from three homeports in Texas and Florida. Carnival also said any resumption of cruise operations "is fully dependent" on cooperation with federal, state, local and international government officials.

Yeah. I checked them out once on line

Only way I’d do it would be to have a balcony room

Unless they are paying people to take cruises or at least giving them away, I wouldn’t expect too many to be sailing with them anytime soon.

Cruise people love cruising. Most of the major cruise lines have heavy bookings in 2021 already confirmed. These are new bookings for the most part and not people rebooking cancelled trips.

Carnival lines, already infamous for the floating disease ship and the one breaking down at sea.

I went on a carnival cruise in January and loved it. Nobody got sick or anything. I’d go on a cruise in August. If your agains cruises you have to be against schools opening.

You obviously never sailed in a suite. They are larger then some apartments.

Not the same at all. Schools are generally young people, except for staff.

And I’m not against opening cruises, I just wouldn’t take one right now. They had trouble with norovirus before this mess.

For all my bragging, I just had a suite one time a 12-day cruise to the Baltic for a retirement gift for myself and wife. Except that one cruise, the other 10 or so cruises have been cheep seats. It really makes little sense having a suite of even a balcony since your only in your room to sleep.
