Calling it a suppressor (true to what it does) versus calling it a silencer (somewhat misleading since the reader/listener believes it makes it silent) can stir up an argument in some circles but the inventor, Maxim Hiram, applied for a patent of his device which he marketed and sold as the "Maxim Silencer".

Walking away from some guy because he is a patch member of a motorcycle club? Not really much point to that… Those guys have their own world, and they don’t bring it out into the public in most cases. I know of quite a few of them who I have talked to in the past they are just normal guys out and about. The violent stuff that you hear about in regards to them? That does happen, but that’s within their own club in that world. I work with a guy who is a former member of one of the big 41% gloves and he is the most decent person I know, though that goes without saying that he has a past that I know very little about.

That Biker made some bad enemies—My guess Mafia Hit—Its not good to cheat the Don.
It appears silencers are easier for criminals to acquire in NY than they are for honest citizens.

Of course, and we can all thank the Democrats’ attack on the 1st and 2nd Amendments for that. Criminals everywhere, including Islamic terrorists, are empowered and protected by Democrat politicians at every level of government.
