A huge chunk of the American populace has no memory of Vietnam. Most of the deaths would have been young soldiers. The virus has mostly been killing the almost dead.

For sure it is an attempt to smear Trump with our defeat in Vietnam. But it is still pretty stupid. Also comparing deaths from a contagious disease to deaths from cancer, or accidents, or yes war. Even AIDS, which is contagious but not very easily.
Not that I take most anything put out by the U.N. at face value, but the U.N. is predicting in the range of 130,000,000 people in less developed countries will soon face famine to the “brink of starvation” resulting from the lockdown of the West. Let’s see how the Left will reconcile these numbers.
