President Trump might reconsider calling Coronavirus "The Chinese Virus", because it's just the latest Chinese viral pandemic -- by my count, the sixth in the past 103 years.
This means China has been, in effect, a virus producing factory whose pandemics killed millions worldwide, and who remains a biological threat globally.
Here is my list of the Six Chinese Viral Pandemics, two of which are in dispute, both from the H1N1 virus, the first based on a Chinese report of deaths in November 1917:
Number | First Year | Name | Origin | Virus | Died | Remarks |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 1917 | "Spanish Flu" | northern China | H1N1 | around 35 million | disputed origins |
2 | 1957 | "Asian Flu" | Guizhou, China | H2N2 | around 3 million | |
3 | 1968 | "Hong Kong Flu" | Hong Kong<-- China | H3N2 | around 3 million | |
4 | 2002 | SARS-Covid-1 | Guangdong, China | SARS-COV-1 | around 1,000 | |
5 | 2009 | "Swine Flu" | Mexico<-- China | H1N1 | around 300,000 | disputed origins |
6 | 2019 | "Coronavirus" | Whu Han, China | SARS-COV-2 | around 250,000++ | |
The Chinese are doing this in several stages... but it’s nice to see you’re thinking outside the box. The key is to think like a sociopath - then it all starts falling into place.
