as I discovered today, Chinese..especially Hans..can have a genetic predisposition that makes them more susceptible to a Virus. Still a lot is unknown on this. It’s IFITM3.
So Studies on Chinese may differ greatly than Studies on Caucasians.
btw, Caucasians can have genetic engineering that disrupts IFITM3 so you can do genetic therapy....as seen with the Thalessemia Trait.
so, in theory, a virus might mutate or be engineered to do to the same thing on a longer term basis. With thalessemia gene therapy the IFITM3 goes back to normal in about 6 hours
