Asian 'murder hornets' found in US

Saw a thing on PBS years ago about these hornets in Japan.
They are not a good thing. Folks have died in Japan from these flying assassins.

In the West Coast states, there are ‘meat bees’.

To get rid of them:

Take a 5 gallon pain, fill 1/2 way up with water. Put liquid soap like Dawn on top of water in pail.

Tie a chunk of liver on strong string over the water-—but just off the water level-—tie it from one side of pail to other.

Bees go for the liver-—get so full then they try to fly away. They cannot go UP quickly enough, and make a ‘swoop’ down, then try to go up.

They hit the water with soap film & cannot fly anymore at all. They drown in the water.

Went camping near Likely Calif years go. Had 2 such pails around camp with 7 horses & riders. Were there for 3 1/2 days.

Emptied & refilled 2 pails each day...first day twice.

Cheap & easy.

Do this at night cause they can’t see.
Stuff a section of garden hose in the opening.
Pour in a 1/4 cup of gas.
Cover hole with some dirt.
They’ll be dead in minutes.

LOL, I think it’s only fair for him to do a head-to-head comparison: letting an executioner wasp sting him in one arm while a murder hornet stings him in the other. There’s no other way to tell which is really worse. ;-)
