Will Canadians comply. . ? Probably.>>>>>>>>>>>>
Nope.
They did not comply with the attempted “long gun registry” 15 years ago or so. And they will not comply with this.
Canadas jurisprudence also has well settled law against retroactive legislation in relation to both real and personal property. So the right of legal ownership of now prohibited firearms cannot be accomplished without the consent of the present owners. Current and future acquisitions can be affected by the ban, but no Canadian government will long survive its evolution towards a totalitarian state control of firearms that have no causal connection to public safety in the hands of law abiding citizens.
Additionally, what happened in new Zealand will also likely happen in Canada. The Liberals in Canada just do not have enough popular support to pull of a legislative move towards being a totalitarian state.

Rural Canada has ignored gun bans forever. In rural areas, people have hunted with cheap old military rifles for years. The standard is the SKS, but many people buy modern $$$$ rifles too; regular tradition; especially with the Indians.
here in Alaska, outside anch & Fairbanks people hunt with military 308s too. Actually, I like my 6.8 stag with 4-32 acog more than my 308s; killed more than a few moose, bou, and blk bear with that gun. The ole Indians believe any 30-30 is better choice anyway; spiritual. Why they are held in high regard for potlatch gifts.

I thought Canadians were already disarmed.
I guess you learn something new every day.

Freedom in North America would be well-served if the rural Canadian provinces would join the States.

Even the Kiwis had to change their tune after the initial political ballyhoo died down and they tried to actually implement their program.

Not quite right. It should say “Disarming non-violent, law-abiding Canadians.” Trudeau has no intention of taking guns from violent criminals.

Years ago in Washington DC, I had a conversation with a guy from Canada. He said something that to this day I can't comprehend:
"I have 20 guns. But I don't believe in handguns."

“Canadians are wimps.”
Ever played hockey against them or heard of the Dieppe Raid? Of course that begs the question of why today they elect such outrageous filth. We’ve got the same problem too.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.
