Flubros and Flubras! Day 44 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

A few things:

1. Texas has achieved partial freedom - some people who are young and healthy are voluntarily choosing to continue to quarantine. This mentality will lead to a much slower economic recovery.

2. The WHO has flip flopped on Sweden - The organization is still corrupt. But didn’t expect them to stop saying Sweden’s lack of government enforcement of social distancing was dangerous. Anyone have a theory as to why they are saying this?

3. Vitamin D - so one theory about the flu (including this Wuhan flu) being spread more easily in the winter (AKA flu season) is that Vitamin D levels drop. Perhaps the number one protection against these flus is sunlight. This makes it especially idiotic to ban people from the beach. All politicians involved in beach bans are idiots.

I believe that the prisons were tested for antibodies, not the PCR. The antibodies will naturally have some cross reactivity with other species. So there is not a lot to do about that — however the actual dx of active disease (hospital) will utilize PCR which grow the specific genetics and we have mapped CoVID 19 — which means that it is specific to this disease.

I am assuming that the prisons engaged in antibody testing, however I could be wrong and I stand to be corrected.

Look o know we have exchanged some harsh words I am going to try to dial it back. I apologize. Obviously this is a topic where passions run deeply.

My work partner might have had it, or a very nasty flu. He had all kinds of symptoms, and was off for 2 weeks, which is a rarity in our job. He ended up in the ER for dehydration after the "doc-in-a-box" found his blood pressure sky-high. Turns out he was severely dehydrated, among other things.

We don't know if he had it - it was in mid-January. His wife wants him to get an antibody test, but he's stubborn.

No worries. I don't hold any grudges and I don't mind getting called names. This is the internet. If you don't expect a little heat now and then, you aren't doing it right.

:)

Another significant symptom is loss of smell and taste.

I get a loss of taste and smell when I get a bad cold. Means nothing.
