Companies seem to be taking Hillary Clinton's advice during this pandemic. "Never let a crisis go to waste."
I feel distinctly in this by myself.
There are no celebrities or compassionate companies in my house with me.
This is BS, at least Meghan Markle could bring me some waffles or something.
I’m about as sick of this “We’re in this together” as I was with the Rodney King: “Can’t we all just get along”.
But Rodney King had a point.
Many are NOT together, but alone, very alone.
I just went to facistbook and was hit by this-
“Even Apart, We’re In This Together”
And they’ve introduced a new I love you emote- “Weve added a new reaction so you can show extra support while many of us are apart. We hope this helps you, your family and your friends feel a bit more connected.”
ARRRRGGGHHH!
Sentimental piano music during every single commercial break isn’t uplifting?
I see that phrase in different places, such as on a placard outside a church and in countless emails (every organization that I have ever had dealings with has sent me a COVID email, from bagel places to hone security).
Call me paranoid, but it has a socialist/communist/wereallthesameunist vibe and it repels me.
can’t stand these ads- Yes, we’re all going through this- but many have the means ot cruise through it no problems while others are losing their homes, having to default on payments, don’t have money for food- etc- many are having to go to food banks, while those that are well off have people go shopping for them while the person of means enjoys margaritas on the mega yachts in sunny locations-
Usually the ones saying ‘we’re all in this together’ are very wealthy- with freezers full of ice cream-
*home
(that typo was due to COVID-19, like everything else these days)
Freaking people are literally dying alone. Stop this leftist pap!
“We’re in this together.”
“Stay safe.”
“In these times of uncertainty.”
For the love of humanity, we are not children that need to be read a bedtime story. Unlike leftists, the rest of us are not cowering at home.
STOP!
[[Call me paranoid, but it has a socialist/communist/wereallthesameunist vibe and it repels me.]]
Bingo! Exactly- Was telling family the other day that all these ‘we’re in this together’ ads are propaganda brainwashing ads to get everyone to just roll over and let government run everything into the ground- it’s like they are saying ‘there’s nothing we can do, we just have to get through it an accept whatever the state governments throw at us’-
Well, you are not getting your tax money’s worth I guess. I wonder how much they paid for these ads.
But these are difficult/uncertain/trying times. Don’t you think an 84 month car loan would help?
Yep it does, I like “Where we go one we go all” better.
I have literally been startled to see, what seems to me, to be coordinated messaging.
84 month car loans are wonderful when the car falls apart at 60 months.
Were in this together as long as you are 6.5 feet from everyone around you ,LOL
In these times of uncertainty.
Well, I AM cowering at home (I live in the Northeast) - but these commercials make my blood boil. They all look like they were written by the same ad agency as propaganda to make us think these companies really CARE. Yeah. Sure. Try to get in touch with a customer service agent recently? None to be found. “It’s the virus, you know!” - as if they couldn’t just route a phone line to these people’s homes and continue to work as usual. My insurance company made a big deal out of giving me a 15% credit on two months of car insurance... which kind of ends up being less than $10 ... meanwhile NO ONE is getting an accident because NO ONE is going anywhere and their profits (which are already obscene) are skyrocketing. Then, of course, we have the Government boasting about how good a job they’re going... yeah, right. Well, I haven’t gotten the $1,200 “stimulus”, nor have any of my relatives, and our stores are out of meat, eggs, toilet paper... and antacid.

I would have about 18000.00 in acct’s receivable that isn’t there if we hadn’t shut down.
Plus none of the company’s that owe me about 15000.00 are sending any checks. No one is going to be in anything with me if I can’t pay my bills. There were FREEPERS who were on the edge of ruin when this stupidity started. I wonder who is in it with THEM right now?
