Liberal elitists feel compelled to tell the rest of us how to live, while at the same time, they feel free to do whatever they want to do. This is not really news.

And their instructions to others are nonsensical. Give up your guns. No golfing. No pumps. No lights. No motor cars. Not a single luxury. I don’t blame them for not following their own idiotic advice. We ought to emulate and also not follow them.
This is like the Illinois governor telling everyone to shelter in place, so his wife hobs in the private jet to go to Florida where her horses are.
Whether it is a global pandemic, a news guy getting his head sawn off, or a terrorist attack on a us installation, nothing keeps the anointed one off of the links.
Politicians have every stripe or hypocrites. They enjoy telling everybody else what to do but won’t do it themselves. There are very, very few exceptions.

In Florida, golfing has never been on the list to close. It is considered “essential” :)
Actually it’s in the list with outside activity that is allowed, due to the distance you can maintain.
We live across the street from a golf course, and my husband’s first response after seeing some golfers on the course was to inquire if the golf course was open.
Our pro shop isn’t open, the country club isn’t open, but you can reserve a cart and a tee time, and pick the cart up at the practice put area. All no face to face contact. Payment is made with your member #, so no need for credit card exchange or $$$ exchange. The difference is it’s one cart per person (and that eliminates the 6 ft ban.) Plus it keeps each golfer safer, when a club is thrown, indiscriminately after a bad putt.
