When I was in Funeral Service, we had an infant, 3 weeks or 3 months, who died of meningitis. That was the only time I saw the embalmer get seriously hazmatted up. I usually assisted, but he didn't let anyone in there.

I guess I'm glad I'm not doing that these days. Can't even have a normal funeral, it all has to be done on video.

Meningitis, is very contagious.

My 2nd child Byan was born with Cytomegalic Inclusion Disease, and this is in the Contagious Hand book. He lived 33 days, and all I could do was look at him through a window with chicken wire in it. Couldn’t even get a nurse to take a photo. Didn’t get to hold him till he passed away. After I was gowned up.
